Canada 150 Grant

This has been a very exciting couple of weeks here at the rink. As you all know, we replaced our entire ice plant in the off season. This was a huge project that has been a critical turning point for our facility. During that transition we applied to the Federal Government for an infrastructure grant through the Western Economic Diversification division. The Canada 150 Grant “supports projects that seek to renovate, expand and improve existing community infrastructure, with a focus on recreational facilities, projects that advance a clean growth economy, and projects with a positive impact on Indigenous communities”. We recently found out that the CN Curling Club was one of five projects in Saskatoon that was awarded the grant. We are proud to announce that we have been awarded over $55,000 to help with the cost of our ice plant replacement as well as some other small projects around the rink.Let’s enjoy this together as we continue to strive everyday to be Saskatoon’s “Curling Club of Choice”
